After staying 2 nights in Spokane WA, which BTW is a beautiful city with a hugh waterfall right in the middle of town, we went to Bonners Ferry ID and stayed at Moose Willow Lodge
where we did Day-Hikes and then onto Coeur D'Alene, ID. We stayed at a Bed-n-Breakfast owned by a fabulous artist. Jan Clizer specializes in painting scenes from Scotland and Ireland. She lives there part of the year and travels back and forth between the UK and the US. She is also a musician who loves to play Celtic music on her violin. Her paintings are hanging all over her house where we stayed. Please check her paintings out at janclizerpainting.com.
I took so many pictures and did several sketches while traveling in Idaho, Washington, and Montana that I may be painting them for a while. It is such beautiful country that every hike had rivers, waterfalls and great views. We even did two bike rides while there. In Spokane we rented E-bikes and thank goodness because much of it is hilly. On the Hiawatha trail we rented trail bikes and what fun that was. It is the number one Rails to Trails path and mostly downhill, which is my favorite..
